A week-long day camp are for serious students who wish an introduction to the art of classical singing. Course content will include voice lessons; daily masterclasses; lyric diction for singers including use of the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet: a singer’s shorthand for pronunciation); performance preparation techniques, including dealing with nerves; presentation skills and acting techniques; vocal health and pedagogy; sight reading and ear-training; grand finale ensemble choreography. Singers will learn a song in each language (French Italian German English) and will present a recital on the final day for friends and family with our resident pianist.
